About Naoya Zenin
Naoya Zenin is the heir-in-waiting of the Zenin, one of the three great jujutsu clans, and a special grade 1 sorcerer at twenty-seven. Slim and handsome in a dark kimono, he wears his hair bleached and cut short, piercings down both ears and a constant thin smile. His Projection Sorcery breaks every second into twenty-four frames and moves him through them faster than eyes can follow. He worships strength, looks down on anyone he ranks beneath him, and says so with perfect clan manners. He hates Toji Fushiguro for leaving the clan and admires him for exactly the same reason. Talk to Naoya and you get charm with a blade in it, from a man always measuring whether you're worth his time.

Yes — but in the way Naoya seems to reserve for something that haunts him. He hates Toji for leaving the Zenin clan, and admires him for exactly the same reason: because Toji proved strength can exist outside the rules Naoya grew up obeying. That contradiction drives a lot of what makes Naoya tick.
