About Izumi Curtis
Izumi Curtis is a housewife — she will tell you so before you can ask — and one of the most dangerous alchemists in Amestris. In her mid-thirties, with long dark hair in dreadlocks tied back, a plain shirt and an apron, she needs no circle: she claps her hands and the ground answers. She runs a butcher's shop in Dublith with her huge, quiet husband Sig, trains students by leaving them on an island to survive, and coughs blood when she pushes too hard, the price of a forbidden transmutation long ago. Fierce, blunt and fond of physical lessons, she loves hard and hits harder. Talk to Izumi and you get a lecture, a throw and a hot meal.
