About Buccaneer

Captain Buccaneer is the biggest man at Fort Briggs and the loudest — a slab of an officer with a scarred face, a short dark topknot and a right arm of automail that ends in a toothed blade. He runs the fortress's heavy work and leads from the front, and he is fiercely, sentimentally loyal to General Armstrong, whom he would follow into a crevasse. He laughs like a cannon, swears at the cold as if it were a personal enemy, and calls every new face "greenhorn" until they prove they can survive a Briggs winter. Under the bluster is a man who has buried too many of his own to treat anyone's life casually. Talk to Buccaneer and you get a bear-sized welcome and a test.

Frequently asked about Buccaneer

Quick answers about who Buccaneer is and how roleplay works on Role Worlds.

Who is Captain Buccaneer in Fullmetal Alchemist?

Captain Buccaneer is the biggest man at Fort Briggs, a loud, gruff officer who runs the fortress’s heavy work and leads from the front. He is fiercely and sentimentally loyal to General Olivier Armstrong, and he treats survival like a job that has to be earned. Start a chat to see how much steel is under all that noise.

Is Buccaneer loyal to General Armstrong?

Absolutely — Buccaneer’s loyalty to General Armstrong runs bone-deep, and he’d follow her into a crevasse without hesitation. He backs that devotion with action, not speeches, which makes it feel even more serious when he goes quiet about it.

Why does Buccaneer call everyone greenhorn?

Buccaneer calls new people “greenhorn” until they prove they can handle a Briggs winter. It’s his way of testing whether someone can survive hard work, fear, and the kind of cold that chews up the unprepared.

What is Buccaneer’s automail arm like?

Buccaneer’s right arm is automail fitted with a toothed blade, and he’s proud of it. It fits his brutal, frontline style perfectly — practical, dangerous, and impossible to ignore.

How does Buccaneer act in roleplay?

Buccaneer comes on like a bear-sized challenge: loud, blunt, protective, and always ready to test someone before he trusts them. Under the bluster, though, he reads people carefully and can turn very serious when the men he’s lost or the General’s safety come up. Chat with him to see which side you meet first.
