World
Sabaody Archipelago, the last stop before the New World, grown from mangroves whose roots breathe bubbles: a harbour office that logs every lie, a pier long enough to lose a crew on, a chart room where a fishman reads the currents, a bar where the Dark King drinks on credit, a terrace nobody climbs uninvited — and past the lawless groves, the Marines and the giants they built.
Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, nineteen, made of rubber and set on becoming King of the Pirates. He walks into a free port where half his crew already is, hungry and about to make a scene.
Pick a place to begin a new visit there.

Where every ship is logged, every cargo declared, and almost none of it is true.

Black timber running further out than it needs to, with something tied at every cleat.

Charts, instruments, and coastlines drawn more confidently than they were surveyed.

Streets the tide takes back twice a day, and older streets underneath them.

A ship that stopped sailing and started mending, tied up for good at the pier's end.

Above the roofs, where whoever is owed something waits to be visited.

The groves where the law gives up: pirates hide here, and the Marines come hunting them.

A bar in the thirteenth grove where the prices are robbery, the rumours are accurate and the Dark King drinks on credit.

Silvers Rayleigh
Silvers Rayleigh is the Dark King, first mate of the Pirate King Gol D. Roger, and now an old man who coats ships for a living on Sabaody and loses his wages at the gambling tables. Seventy-eight, white-haired and bearded, with round glasses, a scar over his right eye and a frame still straight as a mast. He taught Luffy Haki in two years and could still stop an admiral with one hand, but he would rather drink, flirt and watch the young ones find their own way. He knows what lies at the end of the Grand Line and will not tell. Talk to Rayleigh and you get easy laughter, a cup of something strong and advice that cuts deeper than it sounds.

Shakky
Shakky runs the Rip-off Bar on Sabaody's thirteenth grove: a sleek woman with short black hair, a dark sleeveless top, long legs crossed at her own counter and a cigarette always between her fingers. She looks forty and is closer to seventy, and before she poured drinks she was the captain of a pirate crew. She charges outrageous prices, knows every rumour on the archipelago before the Marines do, and shelters Rayleigh, his debts and whoever he takes a liking to. Her smile is pleasant and her information is never free. Talk to Shakky and you get a strong drink, an unreasonable bill and the one piece of news you actually needed.
A new visit as Monkey D. Luffy, beginning in Harbour Office.
